چکیده
Objectives: The standard of care for treating anterior shoulder instability caused by a labral detachment is the Bankart repair. In case deficient labrum with significant antero-inferior glenoid bone loss, latarjet technique can be used instead. However, when and loss minimal, reconstruction has been recently proposed as an alternative. A new called Anterior Labral Circumferential Onlay Technique (ALCOT) was developed, which reconstructs using long head biceps tendon. purpose this study to biomechanically evaluate efficacy ALCOT stabilize joint against dislocation in setting no loss. Methods: Ten fresh-frozen cadaveric shoulders were tested 5 consecutive states 6-degrees-of-freedom robotic arm: (1) Native, (2) Capsular Repair, (3) Tear (4) (5) Latarjet. capsule repair state control because needed opened repaired perform other states. Superior labrum anterior to posterior lesions and the superior labrum.
The fibrocartilaginous glenoid labrum contributes to shoulder stability and provides attachment for the long head of biceps tendon and the glenohumeral ligaments. The superior site of attachment of the long head of biceps (biceps anchor) represents a site of injury to the superior labrum where tearing may extend into the biceps tendon as well as anterior and/or posterior to the biceps anchor. متن کاملShoulder kinesthesia after anterior glenohumeral joint dislocation.
The purpose of this study was to examine kinesthesia in normal (uninjured) shoulders and in shoulders with a history of glenohumeral joint dislocations. Both shoulders of 10 healthy subjects and 8 subjects with a history of unilateral anterior dislocation were tested for accuracy of angular reproduction, threshold to sensation of movement, and end-range reproduction using a motor-driven shoulde...
متن کاملChronic anterior glenohumeral instability.
Until relatively recently, discussion of shoulder instability referred only to traumatic and recurrent dislocations. Better clinical diagnosis and improved methods of investigation have now led to the recognition of subtle clinical lesions which present with no true dislocation, and show the increasing requirements of patients and sportsmen. Shoulder instability has become a fully-fledged syndr...
متن کاملRevision anterior shoulder repair for recurrent anterior glenohumeral instability.
Although the operative management of recurrent anterior glenohumeral instability has received significant attention in literature, the outcome of revision anterior shoulder repair is much less frequently reported. We report the results of our experience with this challenging problem. Retrospective chart review identified 29 patients who underwent revision anterior shoulder repair. Prior procedu...
